It’s either too hot and sun or cold and rainy. The worst though is having to complain that it’s too hot INSIDE in our place of work. A common myth is that employees shouldn’t work when temperatures reach a certain temperature. There are guidelines on maximum and minimum temperatures but no hard and fast rules. However there are things that as an employer you can do to make working conditions more acceptable. Here are some ideas:
Provide free standing or desk top fans when the temperature gets too hot, provide shade at windows in the form or curtains or blinds and provide water dispensers for employees to access free cold water.
