Pens are indispensable aren’t they? But what happens when they get a mind of their own and end up putting ink on our office furniture – how do we get it off?
If you are lucky enough to have a leather chair then we recommend that you check the manufacturers guidelines as they often can give help on how to remove different stains. In some cases it’s a question of getting a damp cloth and a leather cleaner or multi-purpose wipes can also help but it may be useful to do a test on a part of the chair that can’t be seen.
It’s more usual to get ink on wooden furniture if a damp cloth doesn’t help then try an alcohol based product, or a paste made from bicarbonate of soda and water – be sure that it doesn’t take any varnish off though!
Ink on fabric may come off with a damp cloth and soap and water or try nail varnish – again a discrete test might prove useful!
